How heated tobacco works
A heated tobacco device warms a tobacco stick to a temperature high enough to release flavor and nicotine but below the point of combustion. In IQOS ILUMA this is done by the Smartcore Induction System: the holder generates a field that heats an element built into the TEREA stick, so nothing is inserted into the tobacco and there is no blade to clean. A session lasts up to 6 minutes or 14 puffs, whichever comes first.

Tobacco products in the UAE are regulated under UAE Federal Law No. 15 of 2009 on tobacco control. Packs must carry the health warning of their edition, and sales are restricted to adults aged 18 or over.
